About this video: This is a quick guide on how to add mods to Hytale. To get started, you will want to download the CurseForge App. This is linked in the description above, but don’t worry. If you haven’t been able to use CurseForge with Hytale mods so far, we will show you how to fix that later.

When downloading CurseForge, get the standalone app, and then run the installer. Click “Next” a few time and the CurseForge Launcher will install. By default, Hytale should be recognized. If not, click the “+” on the left-hand side and search for games on your computer.

Once you have Hytale, click on it and click “Browse” at the top. Install any mods you want, and click the Play button in the top right to open the Hytale Launcher and play Hytale using it for your mods to work.

If you mods don’t work with CurseForge though, click the three dots in the top right and select “Open Mods Folder” this will take you to where your Hytale mods are installed. Copy these. Then, open the Hytale Launcher.

Click the cog wheel in the top left and click “Open Directory”. Next, click UserData and you will see a mods folder. Open that, and paste the mods you copied into this mods folder. Now, play Hytale like normal, and your mods will work!
