How to tie the JACK DANIEL'S: Top Confidence Fly

Описание к видео How to tie the JACK DANIEL'S: Top Confidence Fly

The Jack Daniel's is an original pattern of mine and it has quickly become one of my confidence flies. I like generic, non-flashy, no big hot spot bugs when I encounter clear water and sunny days or when I'm fishing pressured streams. The Jack Daniel's checks all those boxes. It can represent a mayfly, caddis or even a small stone fly. It has the fast sinking attributes of a perdigon with the movement of a soft hackle.

It shines on a Euro Nymphing rig in sizes 16 and 14. It's a faster sinking fly that has tons of movement from the sparse CDC collar. You can use it as your point fly or on a dropper.

The name Jack Daniel's came to me after fishing the Little J in Central, PA. I hadn't name this fly yet and was catching fish all day on it. I ended up catching a 21 inch Brown Trout with it. After the day, my buddies and I were talking and we thought it was fitting to name it after Troutbitten's term for 20 inch plus trout. "Whiskey"...thus the Jack Daniel's was born.

I can't promise you a whiskey, but I can promise you if you add this to your box, it will put some trout in your net.
