Let's see if we can cast a mold using cotton balls (or cotton batting) and white glue (PVA glue)!

For todays project I was inspired by the amazing spun cotton figures I keep seeing on my feed but after playing with the technique a bit, I have decided to try something a little bit different. Instead of layering my cotton on to a structure, I want to try layering it in a mold and see if we can get a usable cast out of it. My hope is that, if that casting works out, the resulting material will lend itself well to my eventual art piece depicting a 'literal' interpretation of brain rot since lately it's been feeling like my brain is drippling out of my ears. Casting the mold of a brain so I can make it moldy :p

(PS: I am not claiming to have invented this casting method, I am sure many talented wonderful artists have been using it already, but it is new to me🖤)
