I was very impressed by the LECO tehcnology for switching from helium to hydrogen in their GC-TOF-MS. Cost savings are significant especially as helium prices rise. Analysis throughput is increased significantly with no sacrifice in quality of the EI spectra, quantification, or sensitivity.
