06/30/2022 Bell Test (Simplex 4100ES)

Описание к видео 06/30/2022 Bell Test (Simplex 4100ES)

If this seems a bit familiar, it's because I have been here before, and as you can see, there are a ton of issues. The first issue you see is that a strobe light has been damaged and will need to be replaced. Plus, the bell next to it isn't working properly (its mechanism works, but the striker isn't hitting the gong). There have been renovations within the past year and in the renovation area, they installed TrueAlert horn/strobes (which interestingly enough are in sync with the bells), but even those have issues as we discovered not one, but two signals (one at 1:04 and the signal in the room at 2:02) that were non-functional. Going back out into the armory, I discover 5 more bells with the same issue as the first bell. Being familiar with these bells, I know the mechanisms on these bells are adjustable, so they may not need to be replaced, but given their age, they may end up being replaced anyway. Aside from the bells, the beam detectors in the armory have issues too, and have had issues for a while now. The current beam detectors are so low that the system is frequently set off by objects being used in the armory and as a result, the detectors are simply disconnected. Despite being a 4100ES, the system is set up in a conventional manner (the exceptions being the elevator devices and the newly renovated area) and when the beam detectors get disconnected, the panel remains normal, which leads me to believe the circuit is "T-tapped". According to the fire safety officer, they're working on either getting new beam detectors that will be installed higher up, or installing a new VESDA smoke detection system (which is the more expensive option of the two). Hopefully all of these issues get fixed soon.
