Streets Of London -  is a song by Ralph McTell, who first recorded it for his 1969 album Spiral Staircase. It was not released in the UK as a single until 1974. I first heard this song at The Percy Arms folk club in Tynemouth in the late 60s and, over the years, it has come to represent those formative music years for me when I was very much inspired by the singer/songwriter scene that developed out of the 1960s folk revival in this country. The superb vocals are provided by my brother Neil, who is a member of “The 441s” (a local band in the North East of England)
