There are mainly three types of shotput throwing techniques used. I'll explain these three techniques in simple terms. I'll also share some of the best shotput throwing tricks. These two lines adjacent to the shotput circle are called sector lines. When you throw a shotput, your shotput must land within these two lines. Only then will your shotput throw be counted, otherwise you will be considered a foul or disqualified. These two lines, located outside the circle, divide the circle equally in half. These lines mean that when you throw a shotput, you must enter from outside these lines, and after throwing the shotput, you must exit from here. Entering or exiting from anywhere else will be considered a foul. If you throw a shotput well, or you get excited, and enter or exit from here or there, you will be considered a foul, ruining your efforts. So, when throwing, keep these things in mind.

Technique: We will now explore the three techniques used in the shotput throw event in a simple way, one by one, to help you throw the shotput farther.

The simplest technique is Orthodox i.e. standing throw technique. You don't have to fear any foul in this technique because in this technique you simply have to stand and throw the shot 1 inch before the circle-line. That means in this standing pose you don't need to go for much technique. Only while throwing the shotput, you have to bend slightly backwards so that more force and more jerk can be applied on the shot and the shot can reach a greater distance in balance. So who should use this orthodox i.e. standing throw technique. So if you have a good height and muscular body, then you can use it.
