Описание к видео The Magnificent Seven - London's Finest Victorian Cemeteries

Join me in an exploration of the most "monumental" Victorian cemeteries in London . Known as " The Magnificent Seven " they were all built outside the City to accommodate the growing number of London's dead .
Highgate is the best known, the burial place of many famous names from Karl Marx to George Michael , but there are many more hidden charms in the other six - Kensal Green, the best way to Paradise according to a famous poem , West Norwood , the resting place of the famous Victorian cook Mrs Beeton and many more , some famous and some forgotten.
We will also explore the Victorian culture regarding death and burial and some of its more bizarre customs such as post mortem photography.
