What Makes a Video "Cinematic"?

The holy word of YouTube filmmaking. "Cinematic" gets tossed around more than stds on a college campus. Especially here on YouTube. For young filmmakers just starting out, this can get confusing. You don't need to shoot "epic B-roll" with a handheld gimbal. You need to learn the fundamentals of what truly makes an image cinematic.
