Officials: One person dead in North Baltimore fire

A three-alarm fire in North Baltimore claimed the life of one person Friday morning. According to fire officials, firefighters responded to the 500 block of East 38th Street for a reported fire at a two-story rowhome. They found smoke and fire coming from a home and a third alarm was called around 4:15 a.m. The fire was contained just after 5 a.m. and firefighters found one person dead in the main fire building. Three homes have been damaged by the fire with partial collapse while others may have smoke damage. Several people were evacuated and there has been no word on how many are displaced, and no other injuries have been reported.
