Bardhaman City, Purba Bardhaman

In this video we do a city tour of Bardhaman earlier known as Burdwan. It includes Krishna Sayar Park, Radha Ballav Thakur Bari, Kankaleshwari Kali Temple, Bardari, Kanchan Nagar, Bardhamaneshwar Shiva Temple, Tomb Complex of Pir Baharam Sakka, Sher Afgan and Qutbuddin Koka. We also visited the Bardhaman Rajbari, Uttar Fatak, Rani Mahal, Anjuman Kacheri, Sonar Kali Bari, Rani Sayar and Bardhaman Church.

We also explored food options like Dulaler Chop at mitha pukur more, Baked Rosogolla at Asha Sweets, Nolen Gurer Jol Bhora Sandesh at Radha Ballav Mistanna Bhandar and finally Sita Bhog and Mihidana at Ganesh Sweets.

Burdwan is well connected with all the major junctions of Eastern Railway. Local trains ply between Asansol, Howrah and Burdwan at regular intervals. One can also avail buses which run frequently from all the major bus terminals.
