1983 Topham Trophy - (Extended Footage)

Been kindly given this race from a racing friend, as he had it in good quality, 1983 Topham Chase (run for the first time as the Kaltenburg Pills Chase)

A very special race from my childhood as it features Man Alive, who started my love and passion for grey racehorses , back in 1979 when I was 6 years old.

1982 Grand National was the first National I remember seeing as a boy, and was so excited seeing my favourite horse run in it, even though he only got as far as the first.

This race, I remember watching in the school Easter Holidays and watching Man Alive leading the field until the 3rd last, was the most exciting race I had ever watched at that time.

So now I have this in good quality, I thought I'd upload it to my channel, to post alongside the Chester Cup and Northumberland Plate videos , that I also uploaded because of Man Alive .
