In the spring of 2023 we traveled the east coast, south from Vermont to South Carolina, then back north to Maine. New Jersey was our first big stop.

We stayed in the Pine Barrens and explored the forests, cranberry bogs, blueberry farms, historic villages and white sand beaches of New Jersey.

You may conjure an image of your mind of big cities, factories and highways, but there is a large part of the state filled with trees and farms, and if you are on the beach in the spring almost nobody else is there.
