Rules and regulations will be formulated for the Regional Ring Road (RRR) on the lines of the Outer Ring Road. The authorities are working to apply the same restrictions to the RRR as there are for building construction and layout permissions in the outer surrounding areas. For this, consultations will be held with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). These rules will be formulated in the new Master plan-2050 that HMDA will bring. HMDA has made plans to take further steps once the objections and suggestions for the RRR alignment are received. The state government has taken steps for the construction of the Regional Ring Road under the auspices of NHAI with the cooperation of the Central Government. HMDA will notify various survey numbers of about 163 revenue gram panchayats in 8 districts. At present, a buffer zone of up to 15 meters has been decided on both sides after the outer main, service road, footpath and drainage. There are rules that HMDA should not give construction permissions in that zone. A special growth corridor of a kilometer has been decided on both sides and planned constructions have been decided in it. There are many rules that the width of the roads in the growth corridor should also be more than 30'.

Once the alignment is notified.......

After the alignment of the regional ring road is finalized, the rules will come here like the ORR. The Central Government has given the green signal to the proposals of the state government. The tender process for the construction of the Regional Ring Road under the auspices of the Central Government's NHAI has already been completed for the northern part. In this context, HMDA will also consult with NHAI on the terms and conditions for the formation of a buffer zone and growth corridor on both sides of the Regional Ring Road.

In 2013, when the HMDA Master Plan-2031 was brought, the Outer Ring Road was included as a special Growth corridor. There is a special zone system in this corridor. In the then master plan, the Regional Ring Road was mapped in such a way that it was only 100 feet away from the Outer Ring Road at a distance of 30 km on both sides. But there is no regional ring road in that master plan with a special zone system, but in the Master Plan-2050, which will be released by the end of this year, steps are being taken to include the regional ring road with a special zone system with outer-type rules and regulations. HMDA is designing a buffer zone, a growth corridor along the RRR, and other development plans.
