Chapter 4: Nocturnal Breaker
Nightfall brought a new terror. The racers entered a stretch of Thunder Road known as the "Nocturnal Breaker," a place shrouded in darkness and haunted by strange lights that danced in the distance.
Cassie took the lead, her eyes sharp and unblinking. The headlights of their cars barely pierced the darkness, and shadows seemed to claw at their vehicles. Out of nowhere, a pair of glowing red eyes appeared—a creature, more machine than beast, charged onto the road.
Wolf growled, his instincts taking over as he swerved to intercept the threat. The thing crashed into his car, sending sparks flying. But Wolf was no ordinary man. With a snarl, he forced the creature off the road, its mechanical body collapsing into a heap of twisted metal.
“Whatever’s out here doesn’t want us to reach the end,” Cassie whispered, her voice trembling.
