This is the first lesson in your Python journey. We cover: What is a programming language? What is a variable? How do we assign to variables? How do we display things on the screen, and how do we get input from the user?

Homework exercises for this lesson:

1. Define two variables, x and y, with integer values. Multiply them together, and assign the result to a third variable, z. Use print to display the value of z. Hint: In programming, we typically use the * for multiplication.

2. Ask the user, via input, to enter their name. Print a nice greeting to the person.

3. Define two variables: x should contain a string, and y should contain an integer. What happens if you try to add them together? What happens if you try to multiply them?
