Fun Cup UK 2024: Round 1 - Oulton Park Highlights - Team Ratters Racing

Team Ratters Racing, the family team consisting of Peter, David and John Ratcliff competed in the first round of the 2024 Fun Cup UK season at Oulton Park recently!

The 4-hour endurance race was going to be a tough season opener, with a much stronger grid overall than in 2023 - and a random grid draw of P22 of 24 ahead of the race. Peter had a brilliant first stint, keeping out of trouble and making up positions - pitting from P14 to handover to John who then gave the reigns to David. Peter once again had an exciting stint during his second time on circuit thanks to a safety car re-start, and David finalised the race making up positions in the dying stages before a freak downpour caused a red flag and an early end to the race. David did so well to keep the car on the black stuff, and bring it home P8 overall and P2 in the Masters class. Starting off the season with some silverware is a massive positive for the 155 squad, but they'll be shooting for an overall podium later this year.
