This video answers the question? Are all decisions based on emotions? First, I'm going to define emotions versus feelings. We could think of emotions as automatic and temporary. Also, you could think of them as basic - we know emotions are the same across all cultures. For example, if we look at the model that has six basic emotions: anger, fear, disgust, happiness, sadness, and surprise - all six of those emotions exist everywhere in the world. Feelings are a little bit different. Feelings are emotions that have been processed cognitively, so there are a lot of potential names for feelings because there are a lot more types of feelings than there are emotions. Feelings can be complex because they can have a number of emotions that work in them and they can also have other factors like thoughts.
