Building a Resilient Low Carbon Vibrant Chennai – Session 1

The Sustainable Chennai Forum of the Madras Chamber organized its 7th edition with Urban Thinkers Campus on Dec 15-16, 2023 on how we can learn to build cities that are future proof.

The first session was chaired by Mr N K Ranganathan, Former MD, Grundfos Pumps on the broad topic of “Building a Resilient Chennai”.

The speakers were Dr.S.Janakarajan, President, South Asia Consortium for Interdisciplinary Water Resources Studies, who spoke on the topic, “Chennai Recent Floods – Issues and the Way forward”. Mr.Benjamin John, City Advisor, Chennai & Bengaluru, South and West Asia, C40, focussed his discussion on the topic of “Understanding Vulnerabilities” and Dr.R.J.Ranjit Daniels Trustee Care Earth Trust spoke about “Chennai Ecology - Green & Blue”.
