Perspective: India’s Unemployment Rate At Record Low: SBI Report | 27 November, 2023

Latest State Bank of India report says that India’s unemployment rate is at a record low with the labour market altering substantially with self-employment. India’s labour market is undergoing a deep structural transformation with self-entrepreneurship across all sectors. Government emphasis on entrepreneurship through Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana and even recent schemes post pandemic like PMSVANidhi for those at the bottom of pyramid is imparting a structural transformation in labour markets in India through formalisation of credit.
