"A word goes through the world" is a song with lyrics by Jan Wit (1914-1980). There are several melodies in use with this text. Wim ter Burg (1914-1995) wrote two different melodies. There is also a melody by Jan Pasveer (1933-2005) and the melody of the national anthem of Israel, written by Samuel Cohen (1870-1940), is used.
