I decided on this camera from this seller and have been testing this for 3 months now. If you want to record video and take pictures directly to SD card then this is the best for the price.

I recommend a 0.35X reduction lens for this camera, the one I'm using has the best optics is made from Sunny Optical. Talk with Eddie at Rising Tech and he will make sure you get the correct reduction lems that fits you microscope.

This is a video on some of the different microscope cameras you can purchase these days. I will be doing a more in depth video on cameras, the features, the differences between sensors and more later. Along with a review of the microscope and information on Barlow lenses and different magnification for getting the best working distance for your needs.

The 720P camera uses the Sony IMX222 and SD card for picture captures. It does NOT record video to the SD card. The built in firmware does good auto adjustments, so if you record with a HDMI capture device (External HDMI video capture card) then you will see the same auto adjustment quality from the cameras built in firmware when capturing the video feed from the cameras HDMI out.

I will be recommending Rising Technology from now on, better support (tell Eddie Scott says hello). Shipping only took 6 days to Ohio, they only ship UPS included in the price, so it's not extra and it came in the box, not just the inside foam of the box like you saw in the video. Just as fast shipping as a domestic order in US from someone like AmScope.
