Breast augmentation aka the 'boob job' is the most popular plastic surgery worldwide. It's almost harder to find women in the public eye who HAVEN'T felt the need to surgically alter the look of their breasts, than it is to find women who have. It seems like every influencer, every successful model, every actress, every singer has had their boobies changed. Which begs the question. Why on earth, are we so insecure about our natural boobies? Why are we so ashamed of them, that we undergo SURGERY in order to alter them to look more aesthetically pleasing? Just like bodies in general - boobs come in all different shapes and sizes. Sometimes, different shapes and sizes on the one woman. It's NORMAL to have one boob bigger than the other. It's NORMAL to have 'saggy' boobs. It's NORMAL to have small boobs. It's NORMAL to have big boobs. What's NOT normal however, is for us to all have the exact same boobs. Let's stop this damaging normalisation of breast augmentation surgery (with all the potential side effects and recovery that it entails) and start normalising different breast sizes and shapes.
