Humane Society Naples has a great program called Rescue Recess lets adult dogs take the morning off from their kennel and spend some time outside of the shelter. It is so beneficial for the dogs to get out for a few hours to burn off some energy and be seen outside of the shelter. It is also a great way for you to be a part of Humane Society Naples, even if you don’t have a lot of time to volunteer.

Working hand in hand, our employees at Subaru of Naples love to volunteer in our community. Rescue Recess is a wonderful way our employees can volunteer at Humane Society Naples. For instance, October 22nd on National Make a Dog’s Day, we took a rescue dog out of the shelter for a day to make his day! Our heartwarming experience involved Tony, who got to enjoy a day outside. Our adventure with Tony began with a delightful visit to Dunkin Donuts for a pup cup. Afterwards, we took Tony for a leisurely walk at Baker Park, allowing him to savor the freedom and socialize, which can better prepare sheltered animals for life outside the shelter. Tony’s day of exploration brought him back to Subaru of Naples, where he had the pleasure of meeting our staff and customers. Before the day ended, we spent some quality time at the office with Tony, making sure he had a memorable experience before returning to the shelter. Thank you to the Humane Society Naples for the work they do and for also letting us take Tony for the day!
