BJP leader Priyanka Tibrewal launched a sharp attack on TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee over his criticism of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in West Bengal. She alleged that opposition leaders were creating unnecessary drama to obstruct a process they cannot legally stop. Tibrewal claimed that illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators had become part of TMC’s vote bank by obtaining voter ID and Aadhaar cards. She asserted that the SIR exercise would continue despite protests and accused the TMC of attempting to derail hearings by resorting to violence, including attacks on Election Commission offices. She warned that such actions would prompt stronger intervention by authorities.
