In this video, Prof. John Ahr provides a step-by-step demonstration of how to assemble and solder a chain. The production method shown will help you to quickly make chains of any length, using any gauge or wire profile. The magic in the video happens near the end when Prof. Ahr shows you how to turn your simple linked chain in to a flat curb style chain.

This is an great project for beginners. It is also a good test for intermediate jewelers wanting to test their soldering abilities. You see, in order to successfully create a curb chain every link has to have a well soldered joint.

This technique is NOT how "Cuban Link" chains are made. Most Cuban Link chains are produced through lost wax casting techniques.
