How to Crochet Alternating Spike Stitch

Alternating Spike Stitch gives an amazing texture and produces a nice dense piece of work, perfect for projects that need a bit more structure to them. It can still be used for projects that require a bit more drape to them, but I'd advise sizing up a hook size from the recommended size for the yarn you're using.
