Took a trip to Indian Creek Cemetery in Lane Co., Oregon to read the poem written about it and posted to Google Maps by Max Sonderby

In Lane County lies a place of rest,
Where Indian Creek flows in quiet bliss,
And o'er the graves the green trees crest,
Whispering of memories and love's sweet kiss.

The stones of old, with moss and lichen clad,
Stand sentry over those who sleep below,
Their names and dates a fading memory had,
As time flows on and seasons come and go.

The wind that sighs through boughs of yew,
Carries echoes of voices from the past,
Of those who once lived, loved, and knew,
The joys and sorrows that never last.

Yet in this sacred ground, hope abounds,
As new life springs from the soil so cold,
A symbol of the eternal cycle that surrounds,
The timeless mystery that all must behold.

So let us pause and offer a prayer,
For those who rest in peace in this hallowed space,
And for ourselves, who yet must fare,
Along life's path, to our final resting place.
