The Oyama Afuri Shrine, located on one of Japan's most sacred mountains, Mount Oyama, is home to the ancestral God of Sake Brewing, Oyamatsumi no Okami. Kikkawa Jozo Sake Brewery, founded in 1881, sits at the base of Mount Oyama and is said to have been blessed by the God of Sake over a century ago. The brewery is known for producing high-quality, premium sake while using locally sourced ingredients and operating in the old, traditional brewing methods.
