Modern China and ancient epic China shown in legends are certainly different. In many ways - dramatically. However, while being there, I could not stop thinking about what its ancient culture, rich and beautiful ... The film is devoid of any specific legend or a particular story . It was based only on my feelings , it's probably my author's style . In this way all the my films of series " My fairyland " were created - " Russian Fairy Tale" , "Legends of Russia », "Beautiful Morocco", "Northern Fantasy". This is my inner experience, which, although is the result of a deep dive into these cultures still primarily built on a sincere and personal feeling...

- Китай современный и Китай древнего эпоса и легенд, безусловно различны. Во многом -- кардинально. Однако находясь там, я не переставала думать о том, что это древнейшая культура, богатейшая и прекрасная... Фильм не имеет под собой ни конкретной легенды, ни конкретной истории. Он строится только на моих ощущениях, это, наверное, мой авторский стиль. Так создавались все фильмы цикла «Моя волшебная страна» - «Русская Сказка», «Легенды Руси», "Beautiful Morocco", «Северная Фантазия». Это мои внутренние переживания этих культур, которые, хотя и являются результатом глубокого погружения в эти культуры, всё же прежде всего строится на искреннем и личном, - говорит Симонова.
