'Tears From The Compound Eye' - Boards of Canada Cover

Okay, so it's more of an attempt to replicate their sound using analogue synths and tape than a "cover", but it felt wrong to call it a "remake" or something similar. So I'll go with cover. 'Tears From The Compound Eye' from 'The Campfire Headphase', one of my favourites of BoC's more ambient tracks.

Tape loops were made from some field recordings. I realised while doing this how much of this song is textural rather than just playing parts, and spent more time making loops and "disintegrating" tape than actually playing. It's always rewarding and a fun learning process to study Boards' tracks!
