Vintage External SCSI drive access on laptop using Adaptec APA-1460A

Описание к видео Vintage External SCSI drive access on laptop using Adaptec APA-1460A

I access an old SCSI external hard drive from the early 90s using an Adaptec APA-1460A PCMCIA card. Yes it is possible to use some SCSI devices on laptops. The PCMCIA card is probably the most cost effective way to do this in 2021.

I believe the external drive was originally for a Mac. It was sitting in a warehouse for at least 10 years with a pile of Macintosh Iici computers. It sat for another 4 years before I did anything with it. It had a Quantum Fireball 1280S drive in the external. It’s probably not the original drive.

My camera ran out of space during the copy. There will be a random cut as a result.
