A shocking case unfolded in Singapore when a 20-year-old woman admitted she lied about being raped after a hotel encounter along Orchard Road. She had met a 43-year-old man on the dating app Sugarbook, where they agreed on a payment of $200 for her company. After consensual sex, she demanded $1,200 instead. When the man refused and offered $500, she threatened to accuse him of rape and later lodged a false police report.
