Isle Royale National Park is the largest island on the largest freshwater lake in the world (Lake Superior)! It also has the longest predator-prey study which focuses on the moose and the wolf. By studying these two animal species, we can get a better understanding of population dynamics.

This video teaches about populations, Isle Royale National Park, generalist and specialist species, competition, r-selected and K-selected species, food chains, trophic pyramids, the 10% rule, population growth, carrying capacity and more!

This video would work well in an AP Environmental Science class (APES), when talking about Topics 3.1 (Generalist and Specialist Species), 3.2 (K-Selected r-Selected Species), 3.4 (Carrying Capacity) and 3.5 (Population Growth and Resource Availability).
