$2.9 Million 1948 Tucker Torpedo - BARRETT-JACKSON 50th ANNIVERSARY

To mark Barrett-Jackson’s half-century in business, in this special series we’re taking a look back at few extraordinary vehicles from the past 50 years – these vehicles led the charge across the block - making history, setting records, altering and ultimately reshaping the marketplace.

The upward trend continued in 2012, with the Scottsdale Auction hitting over $92 million in sales, with 270,000 attending, a new record. Highlights included the sale of a 1948 Tucker Torpedo from the Ron Pratte Collection, one of only 51 built, which sold for $2.915 million, a new record for a Tucker.
