Various, LEBANON / Unspecified location - The head of Lebanon's powerful armed group Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, gives a televised address to mark Al-Quds (Jerusalem) Day, as Israel's campaign in Gaza nears its six-month mark with a violent spillover across the region. Quds Day was launched by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the leader of Iran's 1979 Islamic revolution, and is held on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has called on the Lebanese and Muslims in Lebanon, especially in the southern suburbs of Beirut, to participate in next week's International al-Quds Day activities.

Nasrallah said in a televised speech at the revival of the first night of Laylatul Qadr, "it is most likely one of the odd nights in the last ten nights of Ramadan – Allah knows best", "We will not talk about politics tonight, but we will address it on al-Quds Day next Friday."
