Can a free orchestral VST library sound good? // Writing 'Passage of Time' with BBCSO Discover

The BBCSO Discover is a fabulous free orchestral sample library perfect for those starting out with orchestral writing. But how easy is it to write something with? And can it sound good? Do my skills as a programmer still hold up with a free library? How does it compare with the sound of my full template? Let's find out!

For those curious, my full template of sounds for this track consisted of a core set of samples from the East West Hollywood Orchestra, with smatterings of other libraries such as Vista Strings (Performance Samples), LCO and Albion Tundra (Spitfire Audio). Somewhat basic as templates go, but something I'm very familiar with.
