The Cobbler, Beinn Ime and Beinn Narnain

The first of my Scottish highland adventures saw me park up in the overnight car park near Arrochar and take on th esummits of Ben Arthur a.k.a The Cobbler (884m), Beinn Ime (1011m) and Beinn Narnain (926m).

On a beautiful morning I set off at first light, around 04:30, hoping to get The Cobbler all to myself. It turned out I wasn't the only person with those plans as soon into the climb I passed another hiker with a very similar agenda. We took different routes up but as I arrived at the summit, he did to. I sat around for about 30 mins while he did his bit and then it was all mine. After exploring and finding my way on to the top, it was time for the next.

A climb to the summit of Beinn Ime came next, with fantastic views all around, as can really be said for all three summits today. This time I was alone for my duration on the mountain, only passing someone as I'd dropped right back down and was about to tackle Beinn Narnain. Again I saw nobody whilst up top and was only when I'd dropped off I passed three lovely aging Scottish gentlemen, whom I exchanged words with about our days.

An absolutely stunning beginning to my Scottish adventures, it certainly left me wanting more.
