Our favourite campsite | NC500 road trip - Part 3 | Van life with dogs

Join us in part 3 of our epic road trip around the North Coast of Scotland (NC500).

In this video, we start making our way down the west coast of Scotland, which is by far the most dramatic! We start day 5 with a detour to Oldshoremore Beach, which is an incredibly beautiful and secluded beach along the North West Coast. From there, as we made our way South we were greeted by a helicopter which we believe was collecting water?! As we continued our journey along these incredibly winding roads, we crossed the Kylesku bridge (a few times...) before making our way to Ardvreck Castle. From here, we back tracked to take the coastal road to Clachtoll Beach and Campsite, along very narrow windy roads to be greeted by our favourite campsite of the whole trip! We let the dogs have a bit of fun in the sea, capture from our Golden Retriever Lewis' point of view before resting up for the night.

We started day 6 with our final walk along Clachtoll beach and out towards the Split rock of Clachtoll, and after a wee hot choccie from Flossies we made our way to the Bone Caves for a lovely (and very windy) hike to where they once found polar bear fossils in Scotland! From here, we grabbed a bite to eat at the chippie in Ullapool before parking up for the evening at Ardmair campsite.
