The Hero is an unusually chunky boot from Thursday Boot Co that will appeal to guys who don't love the sleeker dress boot-casual boot hybrids that the brand is known for. The Hero is extra tall, extra waterproof, and extra booty.

I spent all winter beating up my Hero boots because this is the kind of leather that DEMANDS heavy wear, and while I kinda had to work on other boots as well, I think I did a nice job of getting everything I could out of these boots. They look better with age and the real takeaway here is they're an interesting alternative to guys who prefer brands like Timberland and Dr Martens.
