So what is Stream latency?
Simply put, it's the delay between what your recording device captures and when your recording is shown to viewers.
Every stream on the planet has a delay because it takes time to send data from your device to YouTube.

Let's look at the three options:
With a normal latency, you can expect that your recording will have a 15 - 60 second delay before your viewers can see it.
This is not great if you want to engage in real time with your audience.
However, you will get excellent video quality and buffering will be highly unlikely.

With a low latency, you can expect a 5 - 15 second delay in your recording.
If you have a good internet connection you can expect a decent level of user engagement.
Your video quality should be good but your stream may occasionally experience buffering.

With an ultra low latency, you can expect a 2 - 5 second delay in your recording.
You will have a high quality interaction with your audience in real time.
However unless you have an excellent internet connection, you may experience regular buffering in your stream, which may ruin the viewing experience.
