Riding APPALACHIA, a Motorcycle Adventure, TAIL OF THE DRAGON - HWY 129, with Amazing Roads, Scenery & Camping in this great Region. In this 3rd episode of our trip to the Appalachian Mountains, we start our day after a nice yet cold night of camping next to the River Road 0:32. From there we go and check out the nearby Cheoah Dam 1:52, where they filmed “The Fugitive” 1993 with Harrison Ford. Then we ride the very twisty road of Hwy 129 towards Deals Gap 2:19. Once we reach Deals Gap, we get ready to ride the world-famous Tail Of The Dragon 3:02. An 11 mile super fun section of Hwy 129 with 318 curves. After finishing our roundtrip of the Dragon we pay a quick visit to the Tree of Shame 5:49 where we say goodbye to this amazing road. From there we ride to Bryson City where we wait for our friend Oscar to arrive from South Florida, while sipping a cold brew at the Nantahala Brewing Company 7:03. As always, after his arrival we indulge with a big burger at CJ’s Grille 8:15.
