Blake, at 23 years old, came to visit Dr Rahim for help with his extreme low back pain and sciatica he suffered with from a gym injury. He went to get an MRI which revealed he had 2 slipped discs and degenerated discs. He was antalgic, tilting away from the pain. He normally leads a very active lifestyle. He tried chiropractic with no results. Accupuncture with E-stim gave him some relief but did not address the root cause, according to him. Dr rahim performed a detailed consultation, examination and full spine X-ray analysis. Dr. Rahim found a predisposing tailbone i jury, rotated sacrum, rotated pelvis, open discs in the back at L4 and L5. Typically when i vertebrae misaligned it goes posterior and inferior causing irritation to the disc and nerve. In Blakes case, the discs are open at the back, which according to Dr. Gonstead is a worse situation, as the disc is extremely swollen. In the first visit examination, Dr. Rahim found misalignment and nerve pressure at S3 in the sacrum and c1 in the cervical spine. In addition, Dr. Rahim worked on his deviated septum, shoulder, ankles, hands and feet. In the second episode, Dr. Rahim found misalignment and nerve pressure at t9 in the thoracic spine, and pelvis. In addition, Dr. Rahim found and worked on Blake’s knee. He had previous knee surgery but still presented with a rotated tibia and capsular swelling in the later meniscus and lateral capsule.
