GBO2 GM III Close Combat: King of 450 heavy attacks?!

Описание к видео GBO2 GM III Close Combat: King of 450 heavy attacks?!

This video is a recent quick match I had with the GM III Close Combat on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 450-500 cost raid with two melees, good mobility and access to an incredibly generous to use heavy attack. Its weakness is a complete lack of midrange ability and less melee damage than other raids outside of the heavy attack. I don't think I made many huge mistakes this round other than friendly fire with a heavy attack once or twice. So I think this round should be a good showcase of the suits abilities. I hope that you will enjoy it!

GM III Close Combat can choose between three primary weapons, the GM Rifle, GM III Beam Rifle or Hyper Bazooka (Modified). The GM rifle lacks stagger ability so you will probably choose the beam rifle or bazooka. The GM III Beam Rifle has 1900 power, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 90% heat, 17 seconds overheat time, 0.77 seconds swap time, 350m range and 20% stagger value. It has high heat and overheat time but the low cooldown and fast swap time makes it easy to use in a pinch to gain an advantage. The bazooka is also viable for its faster effective refire time but it swaps slower and cannot overheat to get a fast cooldown.
Its primary melee weapon is two beam sabers with 2000 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time and standard melee modifiers. The combo modifier is a mere 100/50/35% so its a good chunk less than most other raids. The benefit to this weapon is the amazing animations with a fast swap time so you can easily connect to down swing.
Its first sub weapon are vulcans with 70 power, 60 ammo, 450 RPM, 6 seconds reload time, 0.5 seconds swap time, 150m range, 525 DPS and 2% stagger value. These can technically break MA in combination with the bazooka but it is impractical.
Its 2nd and last sub weapon is a beam javelin with 2200 power, 6 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time, 2 seconds focus time and standard melee modifiers. It shares the same moveset as the Prototype Gundam but most importantly it can charge a heavy attack with 180%x2 power. This heavy attack has a somewhat narrow but long ranged attack that is easy to confirm off the set-up of allies. This will be your main damage tool on the GM III Close Combat when used correctly.

The skills of GM III CC reflect its status as hyper focused on melee while abandoning ranged ability. It has skills that ensure its high mobility such as LV2 Forced Injector and LV3 Leg Shock Absorber. It also has LV2 Maneuver Armour for 125% total stun resistance while boosting along with LV1 Emergency Evasion for defensive purposes. Its most important skill however is Heavy Attack. This lets you focus its javelin similar to a beam rifle and release it to unleash a LV4 Priority attack with Offence System built into it. It is somewhat slow and easily countered if you use it without set-up but allows you to absolutely annihilate suits of any class if you use it while flanking or from an allies stun/knockdown. Its mobility is also relatively high with 130 walking speed, 215 boosting speed, 65 thrust, and 63 turning speed. It also has ground affinity which raises its walking speed to 133 and turning to 69 to further boost mobility. It lacks LV2 Flight Control Program like some other raids so you won't be able to pull off aerial maneuvers when falling on maps like Arctic Base or City Ruins like Nero Trainer can. It has 0 ranged modifier with a huge 45 melee modifier. This ensures that despite the relatively low damage of the melee on its own, the damage will be high thanks to the innate melee modifier of the suit. Bulk is also good relative to its size with 15500 HP, 18 ballistic resist, 20 beam resist and 20 melee resist.

Overall I think that the GM III Close Combat still remains one of the stronger raid choices on close range maps. Its definitely weaker than the Nero Trainer overall but I believe that its heavy attack in particular is stronger than the Nero Trainers one. Its long range and high power makes it incredibly easy to confirm or flank with at the cost of long cooldown. Its a raid that sort of relies on heavy attack because the damage output outside of it is a bit lower then other 450-500 raids. It is available in the DP store for 450-500 so I definitely recommend that you try it. Thanks for watching!
