Cutting Costs: My Journey To Saving On Electricity With A 10kw Solar Power System!

We've always wanted to reduce our electricity bills w/o reducing the basic power demands in our household.

In addition to our 10kw solar power project, we aim to reduce our electric bills by:

- shifting the usage of our high power equipment (water pumps, washing machine with drier, water heaters) during sun peak hours (10am - 2pm)
- shifting all conventional light fixtures to LEDs
- shifting all airconditioning units to inverter types

- apply for net metering so we could sell unused power to Meralco or install battery systems to store the unused power during daytime and use it at night time or during power failures.
