The 2022 NFL Draft is in the rearview mirror and the entire NFL is evaluating the aftermath. The Philadelphia Eagles had arguably the best draft of the weekend and are still making headlines with free agent signings. It seems as though Eagles fans are a lot more optimistic than usual and the media talking heads are comfortable giving the Philadelphia Eagles the nod to take the NFC East!


The Eagles also acknowledge that (fair or unfair) Jalen Hurts is on the clock. He has all of the weapons he needs on offense so he has zero excuses for not having a much improved passing year in 2023. The addition of AJ Brown is the biggest boon for the Eagles. Not only is he an elite WR but he’s only 24 years old and has a solid relationship with Jalen Hurts. Now, this has nothing to do with Jalen being able to deliver the ball on time and on target but there is something to be said for having familiarity with your playmakers. And let’s not forget that AJ Brown will hit the ground running. He’s not a rookie and it is a reasonable expectation for him to be an immediate impact player.


Nate Herbig was just released by the Eagles. They are freeing up spots for Jergins and any other FA lineman they may decide to bring in camp. It is not out of the realm of possibility for the Eagles to re-sign him a lower contract but he will most likely be signed to someone’s team before camp.
