The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success D. Chopra

The Law of Pure Potentiality - This rule emphasizes sustaining a strong and stable awareness for which a ‘pure consciousness’ forms the foundation to a happy and successful life. A state of pure consciousness is meant to filter your emotions and senses, allowing you to be more aware of them, in addition to managing your emotional reactions, and choosing how and when to efficiently express what you feel when you are working. No one wants to work with someone who is moody and unstable. You can practice by finding some time to be alone in a peaceful moment. Meditate and be in a place with no one around you so you can listen to your heart and find what you want.

The Law of Giving - A simple yet powerful tip to build positive energy in yourself and others is by "giving," which doesn’t necessarily apply to money or valuable objects. Instead, anyone can give at no cost, such as compliments or expressing concern for others delivering sentimental value. “Giving” will therefore create positive feelings in your subconscious mind. Good feelings (especially giving without expecting anything in return) and a subconscious mind fulfilled with positivity will communicate a sense of goodness through creativity in the brain.

The Law of Cause and Effect - Everything you do has consequences. Any thoughts or actions that you express will always come back to you. Therefore, remind yourself to stay positive and do good for someone else. Having a positive mentality allows you to behave in a kind and pleasant way to others. This rule always makes you think logically and to be aware of the consequences. It increases opportunities for you to succeed or find the good things in life and to act in a way that does not bring about any negative consequences.

The Law of Least Effort - This rule may seem contradictory to your initial understanding of ‘the more you try, the more you succeed.’ So how can you reach success in life with the least effort? First, you have to be aware that more than 90% of human behavior comes from human mindsets which are a set of commands delivered from the subconscious mind whereas around 10% of human behavior comes from the subconscious mind. Therefore, to benefit from our subconscious mind, which works automatically, you have to do everything in a pleasant and yet obliging way. In other words, do what you love or ‘do what you are.’ To do something with the least effort is to do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally with the least effort. You don’t feel tired when you do things you love.

The Law of Intention and Desire- You need to be strongly committed and dedicated to achieving your goals. Never let any obstacles or hardships bring you down. It’s important to set a clear goal and find a way to achieve it.

The Law of Detachment - “If you don’t let go, you will always be a prisoner of your own mind” – this means that if you are unable to let go, you are emotionally attached to what others do or say. Hanging on to the feeling that everything has to happen as expected is a kind of emotional attachment that can have a negative impact on your life. However, if you try and adjust by seeing things around you from a different perspective, you can gain a new appreciation. For instance, observing problems with an emotional detachment and conscious mind can sometimes help solve issues, thereby turning a crisis into opportunity. Letting go and doing things with a patient yet conscious mind can easily bring about opportunities.

The Law of Dharma or Purpose in Life: You were born to do something and there is something you can do better than others. However, when society keeps everyone moving in the same direction, this realization is something you may tend to forget as you go about your life. It is easy to get lost in your thoughts analyzing why you are unable to do a particular job better than others. Instead, try to look for what you are good at doing and focusing on this particular ability. By doing so, you can become more confident and be ready to do better over time. When your actions or performance is inspirational to others, you will be emotionally fulfilled and satisfied, even finding happiness in pursuing your achievements.
