Cleaning Your Dog Show Equipment | Dog Grooming and Handling Equipment Series

Keep it clean, folks!! Come clean your tack box with me!
In our last installment of tack box care videos, we want to talk about cleaning both your equipment and the tack box itself.

Here are some of the things you can do to keep all of your equipment clean:
- Clean your leads & collars (unless you think you’re “washing the luck out of them”!) and remove any tarnish from collars (very rare but not great!)
- Take hair out of your slicker, pin, and bristle brushes with a comb
- Wash hairspray build-up off of your brushes and combs
- Wipe out or vacuum every surface of your tack box to keep your equipment from getting unwanted dirt, debris, and wear-and-tear from dog hair and more.
- Use Listerine to lightly disinfect your equipment
