Video Summary:
α receptors cause vasoconstriction and β receptors cause vasodilatation. When both the receptors are stimulated, α predominates. But β receptors are more sensitive so they are stimulated even at a lower concentration of adrenaline.
High dose of adrenaline produces a biphasic response where there is an initial rise due to predominant α action and then gradual fall dues to β action.
If we give α blocker, before adrenaline, the rise due to α receptors is lost and we see only fall. This reversal of response is called the vasomotor reversal of dale.
