Chintala Venkat Reddy,A passionate and progressive farmer from hyderabad, has invented a remarkably simple technique to comprehend and implement for soil depletion problem. With his simple method of excavating soil from a depth in the agricultural
field and spreading it across the field after scraping away the top soil, he managed to solve the problem of depleted soil.

With this move, he recorded yield of 10.31 tonne per hectare of paddy against a normal yield of 5-6.5 tonne/hectare and 5.62 tonne per hectare of wheat compared to a normal yield of 2.5-3 tonne/hectare.
Though,he initially implemented this technique for wheat and rice, gradually he learnt that this method can be useful for other crops as well.
Padala Gowtham,A progressive farmer delivered an exclusive presentation on Chintala Venkata Reddy’ s (CVR) Soil technique in a 2 day of conference on Bhoomi Suposhan at IICT ,organized by Ekalavya foundation & Akshay Krishi Pariwar ,from 24th - 25 March 2018.
